Occupational health and safety coordination in the design phase:

We offer to carry out occupational health and safety coordination during the design phase of all types of projects. We have experience with hospital construction, schools, institutions, shopping centers, apartment blocks, nursing homes, renovation work, demolition projects, workshops, industrial buildings, high-rise buildings, earthworks and sewerage works, road works, district heating, site preparation, etc. We work according to a quality-controlled system that ensures that we always complete all statutory processes during the design work. In particular, accident prevention, continued operation of the institution and the future working environment are our specialties.

After January 1, 2009, all projects where there are 2 employers at the same time must have occupational health and safety coordination during the design phase.

It is a method for securing both the future working environment and the working environment during the execution of the project.

• 1) The future working environment includes the design and operation of workplaces that are suitable for the working environment, including maintenance, repair and cleaning.
• 2) Safe working environment during construction includes tools and methods that ensure that both the designer’s and the client’s working environment obligations are fulfilled in tender materials and in the construction phase itself.

Occupational health and safety coordination in the design phase includes design and planning with the following tasks that must be carried out by the occupational health and safety coordinator and not the designer.

• Prevent safety and health problems in the project.
• Coordinate with the designers.
• Planning and adapting the individual construction phases in a safe and responsible manner, especially for dangerous activities.
• Prepare PSS, construction site plans, schedules, specific measures against hazardous activities for the tender materials. (Does not apply to small and medium-sized construction sites).
• Prepare a journal (risk analysis/list of special safety conditions). Collaboration with the designers.
• Necessary preliminary studies, risks, technical installations, assessment of the use of suitable technical aids, determination of control procedures, arrangement of the construction site’s traffic areas and storage areas, coordination of emergency preparedness.
• Agreements on security measures in common areas.
• Clarify interfaces with the designers.

Occupational health and safety coordination during the execution phase:

Under the motto ‘0 accidents on the construction site’, Eggersen Miljø & Sikkerhed ApS ensures that effective working environment coordination is implemented on the construction site.

• Delineation of security measures and special risks in common areas.
• We prepare the Rules of Procedure
• We conduct ongoing safety rounds and report the status of safety conditions on the construction site in the form of a Model Workplace Safety Roundup Form with pictures of situations where rules are not followed.
• We hold ongoing Safety Meetings at least every 2 weeks and report on the statutory agreements that have been decided.
• We hold kick-off meetings for all contractors from all companies.
• We check that all actors have prepared statutory APVs and assess working environment materials.
• We prepare, complete and continuously update Safety and Health Plans, Construction Site Plans and Timetables.
• We ensure that the ongoing control procedures are followed throughout the construction period.
• We hold introductory meetings with all the construction site’s craftsmen.
